Using scissors, trim the carbon pad to match the size of the filter.

On the side of your filter that faces the incoming air, tuck the edges of the carbon pad underneath the inside edge of the filter frame.

Work the pad into the frame all the way around until it's fully tucked in. Install your filter normally.
